Discrimination Against Disabled Working Women

The U. S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Disability Discrimination. Last modified October 1, 2007. http://www.eeoc.gov/types/ada.html

I chose this web site because this is one that was recommended to me by the Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Services. When I went to the site, it was very user friendly, also. This particular website is the U. S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and it has direct link to a particular area regarding disability. It is under the subheading of: Discrimination by Type: Facts and Guidance. The site gives you all of the information you might need regarding your rights as a disabled employee, along with lots of other links to go to find additional information.

This particular website contains information in the UK. The reason I chose this website is to see how other countries treat disabled people. Again, this website seemed to be very user friendly. It contained several links to other pertinent websites regarding disability and individuals rights as a disabled person. It also contained update news regarding this same information. I went to several different links on the website to find out different information.

This website is a very user friendly website. You can go on the website and have a large selection of areas you can go to for several different issues. It has several different scenarios relating to different individuals with disabilities. One particular situation that got my attention was about a girl named Celia Yetti, a service representative with the Social Security Administration. Celia has no hands to operate her computer, so she uses her feet to operate the mouse. Her thoughts about her situation are;if people would take a moment to look beyond physical appearances, they will discover that people with disabilities are capable of far more than they think.
